Things I Love About Spring

It's at that time of year where it's starting to get warmer outside and everyone is getting in the mood for or hopefully a fabulous Scottish summer. I'll keep you posted on how that pans out.

I love spring, it's my favouraite season, bright colours, floral prints, I just love it. I've put together a short post on things that I'm loving about spring so far.

Gold Leaf Foiled Nails
I currently have gold foil on my nails atm, which I got done when I got my new set of acrylics on. I keep seeing photos of it everywhere and I love it, an easy way to glam up your nails of your aren't  brave enough for glitter.

Flower Crowns
I love everything floral no matter the season and flower crowns are no exception, they are great for summer to and the festival season.

Bright Ombré Hair
I recently dyed my hair if you've read my recent hair SOS post then you'll know I have a love hate relationship with my hair and hair colouring. But I got bored of the blonde already and decided to go for something brighter I'm currently using, crazy colour cyclamen and fire red.

Orange Lips
Bright orange lips are my favouraite thing ever. My fave colours for this are Mac Morange and If yours opting for more of a matte shade, Mac So Chaud and Dangerous are fabulous colours for spring too.

Pop of Colour
Spring is all about the bright colours and something I have been leaning towards is a pop of teal with just a simple black eyeliner on top paired with a bright lip.

Refreshing Drinks and Cocktails
I love pink lemonade, I favour this over normal lemonade and it's pink, what isn't there to love.

For those a bit more daring this spring, also something pink, how about a barbie cocktail?
Equal parts of all.
Vodka
Malibu or coconut rum
Orange juice
Cranberry juice
Pineapple juice
And a squeeze of lime.

Ice Lollies
I love ice lollies and just now Pinterest is full of loads of interesting easy combos for you to try out.

Festival Season
Getting to that time of year again where all everyone can talk about is festival season. I'm so excited, after last year being my first time at a festival I'm more prepared and excited for this year, praying the weather is good, wish me luck.

What are your favouraite things about spring? Leave me a comment telling me why.

ASOS Wishlist: Vol 1

I feel like time is right to admit I have an unhealthy Obsession with ASOS. Now don't get me wrong sometimes it is a hit or a miss with some things. But recently I've just been lusting after so many things.

Today's post is of my wishlist. After my birthday I'm on a no spending ban because it's coming up to festival season, let's so how well I do.

Just a quick little post today, be sure to check back tomorrow, I will be posting a face of the day!

Hair SOS

Do you ever feel your hair is dry, brittle broken or lifeless? Any of the above then this post is going to help you.

I've been colouring my hair since I've been about 12, it's been every colour of the rainbow and every colour in between, especially when I was training everyone would practise on me.

For the past year and a half it's just been solid black because I was growing it, but coming into summer I feeling the colour was a little harsh, so I wanted to brighten it up a bit, so last week I did an ombré on the ends. For those of you who don't know what ombré means; it when the ends of the hair are lighter gradually getting darker up until the top of the hair where it is darker.

I now know why I haven't coloured it in so long because it's so dry now, but never fear I have some fabulous products that can help.
These are products which I have tried an tested and have repurchased multiple times. All the items I'm posting below can be purchased at boots.

Tangle Teezer
This little guy is a life saver, whether brushing your hair when wet or brushing out back combing I always reach for this little guy.

Loreal Hair Mask
I have used this stuff for years. It's amazing and I really do think it helps when smoothing the hair cuticle.

Lee Stafford Detangling Spray
It says it all really, a detangling spray, i find this is best used sprayed into wet hair and used along with the tangle teezer, pain free easy brushing for unruly hair.

Tresemmé Heat Defence Spray
I use this everytime I use any heat on my hair, before I use my dryer an then again after if I'm using straighteners or a curling iron or wand.

Tresemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray
I've used this hairspray for years and it really is amazing. I've noticed that it's the only hairspray that will hold my fringe in place all day. I use a little on days when my hair is very soft and I have a lot of flyaways.

Got 2 B Powderful
I honestly can't say enough good things about this product, I use it almost everyday. It can be used without back combing for a little extra volume at the roots, it's a mattifying powder that doubles the hairs volume creating texture to back comb on.

Hope you've enjoyed today's post!

Stepping Into Summer

I'm back with some of my favourite products that I will using when summer has finally arrived. Some drugstore and some high end.
Summer for me is about light make up either bright eyes or bright lips. Summer defiantly brings out some of my favouraite lip colours.

What are your favourite products for summer?

Pop Make-up No Shine powder
This is a fairly recent purchase for me, but I love it, it gives a descent coverage enough so that it's light enough to wear during summer, I think the only thing that let's this down is the colour range which is very limited.

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Where would I be without this little guy, I use this in almost all of my eye looks (I have various colours) but it is a must if you are using bright eye colours this summer as it makes the colours pop.

Sleek Ultra Matte Brights
Well what can I say about this. This palette is beautiful, I prefer this over my BH Cosmetics 180 colour palette. The colours in this are just amazing, I've had it for a while, but haven't really had time to use it, but I will definitely be using it come the summer months.

Brow Kit
Nothing I can really say, no matter the season I never leave home without my brows did. This kit is by Technic and was fairly cheap, I use all of the colours depending on what look I'm going for.

Mac Flat Out Fabulous
If you have read my previous posts Mac lipsticks are my ultimate fave especially the Matte/Retro Matte lipsticks. I certainly wasn't disappointed when I bought this beauty. The pinky purple hued colour is perfect for summer.

Limecrime Cosmopop
I recieved this for Christmas and I've only used it a few times but I LOVE this colour, because I'm so pale pinky nudes make me look really washed out, so orangey peach nudes are perfect for me.

Mac Dangeous
This came out when flat out fabulous was released but I got it a short time after. After having looked at the swatches online I figured I didn't need another red lippy, but I was SO wrong, when I recieved this is more of an orange red, which I totally fell in love with this, if your a red lipstick lover like me then you should really try it out.

Mac Fix Plus
I'm receiving a new bottle of this for my birthday, I can't believe I've gone so long without it, I love this in the summer for helping keeping your face refreshed and not sticky. It honestly is a life saver for when you go powder happy, and handy because it comes in travel size too!
